REFORMER PILATES?

TIGHTEN

Reformer Pilates is a form of exercise that utilises a specialised piece of equipment called the Reformer. This unique apparatus consists of a carriage that moves back and forth along tracks, resistance springs, and adjustable bars and straps. By harnessing the power of spring resistance, Reformer Pilates offers a low-impact yet highly effective full-body workout.

During a Reformer Pilates session, you’ll engage in a series of controlled movements that target specific muscle groups, all while focusing on proper alignment and breath. This results in improved strength, flexibility, coordination, and core stability, leading to a more balanced and aligned body. What sets Reformer Pilates apart is its adaptability to all fitness levels and abilities.

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, looking to enhance athletic performance, or simply seeking a fun and challenging workout, Reformer Pilates can be tailored to meet your unique needs and goals.

Lucy Gilroy

I’m Lucy, and I got into pilates through my work in Circus.

I am aerialist, dancer and performer, who came across pilates when I started aerial work – and I have been incorporating it into my training ever since.

I love pilates because it’s so accessible and adaptable, so anyone can use pilates in a beneficial way. From top athletes to injury recovery, pilates is for everyone.

I immediately fell in love when I had my first reformer class with Georgina in 2019.

With dance being my background and my day job being a far cry from the wellbeing sector. I completed my STOTT intensive reformer course in 2023 and it’s been all springs since then. Whether it’s classical or conditioning movement; mind and body connection is powerful. You are more powerful than you know.

Heidi Linnell

Hi, my name is Heidi. I became a client at The Body Rule in 2022 and fell in love with reformer and the passion behind the brand. When the opportunity arose to join the team, I couldn’t wait to get stuck in. While assisting Georgi and the rest of the team, I am so excited to help elevate the brand.

Justina Banks

Making the decision to dive into Teacher Training was a defining moment for me. Pilates has become more than just a workout; it’s a sanctuary that grants me clarity and focus, allowing me to slow down and truly connect with myself. Everyone has their own why and it’s something I love to be a part of.

I tried mat Pilates years ago and hated it! All those tabletop legs and roll ups – I ran, did spin and lifted weights regularly so I felt very cross when I struggled to do what looked like very simple moves….
A few years later I restarted mat Pilates with my physio following an injury and I found I loved the rehab aspect of Joseph Pilates’ system and the way it gave me headspace – I felt at peace.
